School House Symphony is …
What is School House Symphony?
The music circles the room — filling the students' ears with melody and harmony.

It draws the children into the performance where they absorb much more than mere notes. While being entertained, these young minds also learn about the woodwind, brass, percussion, and string families.
They learn that vibrations create sounds and sounds combine to make music.
This is a performance of School House Symphony, one of the country's premier music education efforts.
Since 1976, School House Symphony has been providing in-school performances on a full time basis. By combining teaching with performing, SHS not only provides cultural enrichment, but also presents musical concepts, history, and culture which helps open young minds to a world of new experiences through music.
